From the hyper performativity of the classical dancer to the hindrance of illness, Marion Zurbach traces with this solo the path of a physical, aesthetic and political metamorphosis. Suffering from a chronic joint disease, the choreographer questions her body and her history. In the eyes of the norms, she now belongs to anti-heroic representations, like the villain of the romantic ballet whose figure she invokes. She extends the spectrum to the non-human, and assimilates herself to the so-called "harmful" or "invasive" species. Inspired by these creatures on the margins, she sets out in search of a poetics of impure and fantastical figures. The performance writes the path towards the activation of these real or fantasized presences.
Suspended movements, on the lookout; creatures lurking in a still unaccomplished future. Becoming harmful, sabotaging, corrupting, and enjoying this struggle. Transformation is a never-ending process, offered by the flow of identities.
